The library specialises in:

• Gardening and horticulture, including a wide range of vegetables, herbs and fruit.
• Agriculture, including the field crops, livestock and production systems.
• Organic farms, small scale commercial and home garden enviroments.

The owner/operators are professional agriculturalists with access to a wide range of commercial and private holdings for photographing.

The home base, Sea Spring Farm, is run both as a commercial nursery and as a photo studio for the library.
